Pedalfiles Traditions

Every hash is basically the same awsome game, with different "twists."  This page is meant to clear up those twisting questions that have been haunting you.

Start Time and Location

Start time is typically 10:00 AM.  The hares can change the start time with blessing from the Grand Mattresses and sufficient advance notice.  Start location and trail route is the sole responsibility of the hares for the chosen Pedalfiles hash date to hare.  To ensure a successful trail, hares should review other local hash house posted start locations on or around the Pedalfiles hash date to avoid separate hash trail over-lap and Pack confusion on trail.  This can be done by clicking onto the "Links" webpage on this site and clicking onto each local hash house website link to obtain their start location.

Circle

Circle is kept to a minimum. Wankers gather to honor the hares, note the virgins, hold trail trial, verbally give a couple awards, and drink some beer.

Length of Trail

Trail length is typically in the range of 10 to 15 miles.  Just one trail per hash is needed; the pack usually stays together.

On-Afters

A bar / restaurant will be chosen by the hares for all hashers to gather, drink beer and get a bite to eat.

Beer Checks

Beer checks are typically at a bar, so wankers must bring ID and cash or credit card.  The purchase of alcohol and/or food is solely up to each wanker.  Hash hares can opt to incorporate extra surprises, but will be responsible for the cost.  There is no hash cash from which to draw funds.

Trail Markings

Trail markings are basically the same as most hashes. You have the classic true trail (arrow with 3 lines crossing the shaft), bad trail (marked with 3 lines or "BT"), check backs ("CB" and the number of powders to count backwards on trail), you've been f*cked (marked with a "YBF" which can be used on a bad trail from a decision point), and a decision point (a circle with chalf or flour denoting a possible change in direction on trail, to be investigated by front riding bastards and marked accordingly). The only difference between the Pedalfiles hash trail marks and other hashes, is the "P" denoted in the middle of the decision point. As there is only one trail, this is sufficient.
